The Giant & Dolphin Sightseeing Cruise departs at 11am from Mandurah Cruises Jetty at Mandjar Square. Please arrive 15 minutes beforehand for boarding. Departure times can occasionally vary with demand and operational requirements, so please confirm your time on the booking calendar below when you book.

Can you see the Giants of Mandurah without a boat?

Four of Mandurah’s five Giants can be reached on foot, with a car. ‘Seba’s Song’ is the exception. She sits at the water’s edge facing out across the estuary, so from land you only ever see him from behind. The full front-on view is only possible from the water, which is why we run this cruise.

Do you see all five Giants of Mandurah?

You see one Giant on this cruise, ‘Seba’s Song’, the fourth of Mandurah’s five Thomas Dambo sculptures. We take you to the one you cannot properly see any other way.

The other four are spread across Mandurah on land. Finding four of them unlocks the location of the fifth, secret Giant. You can read our guide to all five Giants of Mandurah before you visit.

Will I see dolphins on the cruise?

Accepted Answer

Almost always, and if you don’t, you cruise again free. Mandurah’s dolphins are wild animals in their natural environment, so a sighting can never be promised outright. Our guides are dolphin experts, informed by our research project with Murdoch University, and sightings are very likely. Every ticket includes our Dolphin Guarantee: if you don’t see dolphins, you can cruise again, as many times as you like, until you do.¹

¹ OUR DOLPHIN GUARANTEE T&CS

Our crew will determine whether there was adequate dolphin sighting during your cruise. This will be confirmed to all guests at the end of your tour and noted in our records. It can also be checked retrospectively with our Booking Office.

Should there be dolphin sighting during your cruise, the Dolphin Guarantee is not valid for return trips.

Should a dolphin sighting not occur and you wish to use your Dolphin Guarantee to return, you are free to make another booking within 12 months of your original tour date, subject to availability. Should you live overseas, you can return within 36 months.

You may return as many times as you wish until you are on a tour where there is a dolphin sighting.

Return bookings must be made by phone – by calling our Booking office on 08 9581 1242. or via email to reservations@mandurahcruises.com.au. Dolphin Guarantee bookings are non-transferable and can only be made for passengers who made the original tour booking.

Once you are on a tour with adequate dolphin sighting, the Dolphin Guarantee is no longer valid. Should you wish to travel on our Giant & Dolphin Sightseeing Cruise again, a new ticket must be purchased. As a customer, you receive a 10% loyalty discount for future bookings of any Mandurah Cruises’ cruise (excluding Christmas Lights) or hires.

Our Dolphin Guarantee is only available for fully-paid bookings with Mandurah Cruises ~ not available to FOC Companion Cardholders. Each customer receiving the Guarantee must have initially booked our Giant & Dolphin Sightseeing Cruise.

Do I need to book in advance?

We recommend booking ahead, particularly over school holidays and through summer. Online bookings close 30 minutes before departure. Inside that window, call our Booking Office on 08 9581 1242 to check availability.

Question 7

Is the cruise suitable for children?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Children aged 3 to 15 travel for $44 and under 3s travel free. Adventure Bundles for adults and kids start at $97.

All guests do need to move around the vessel independently, including a ladder-style staircase with handrails to reach the upper deck. If you are unsure whether this suits your group, please contact our Booking Office.

Can I add lunch to my cruise?

Enjoy a delicious onboard lunch prepared by Western Australia’s iconic fish and chips restaurant, Cicerello’s. When booking, you can select from the following menu options, which will be served to you during your cruise:

Battered Fish & Chips – $16
Chicken Nuggets & Chips – $14
Vegetable Spring Rolls & Chips – $14
Hot Chips – $10

Bookings for our Lunch option close 30 minutes prior to departure. Please contact our Booking office if you would like to add lunch to your booking. Please note that this food is not prepared in a guaranteed allergen free environment and is not suitable for those with anaphylactic or severe allergies.

You are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks on board.

Where does the cruise depart from and where do I park?

Cruises depart from Mandurah Cruises Jetty, in front of the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre at Mandjar Square. For Google Map Link ~ view the jetty on Google Maps

Free all-day parking (no ticket required) is available at the Reading Cinema / Mandurah Performing Arts Centre carpark on Ormsby Terrace. For a parking location map, view the parking location map.

Please arrive for boarding 15 minutes prior to your cruise departure time. Please be aware that boarding will occur in an orderly first come, first served fashion, and boarding for your party will not commence until every member has arrived. Please ensure you allow plenty of time to arrive for your tour as our cruises run to schedule and cannot be extended.

Simply bring a print out of your booking confirmation OR present it on your mobile device to board the cruise. Alternatively you can visit our Booking office and we can print your tickets for you.

Question 11

Is the cruise wheelchair accessible?

A number of our boats have wheelchair / walking frame access, however this tour is not wheelchair/walker compatible. As the vessel is on open waters, guests must be able to stay upright on moving water without assistance. Please call Mandurah Cruises’ Booking Office on 9581 1242 to discuss which cruise suits your requirements or visit our Accessibility page for further details.

Question 12

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancel more than 14 days before your cruise for a full refund, or between 14 days and 72 hours for a 50% refund. Inside 72 hours we are unable to refund, though we will always do our best to move you to another date.

If we cancel, whether for weather or minimum numbers, you can choose an alternative cruise date or a full refund.
