LObster Catch and Cook Cruise

Catch it
Watch it Cooked. Eat it on the Water

fresh mandurah lobster, from Ocean to plate

This is as close to sea-to-plate as it gets. You join our experienced crew aboard Reel Affair II, help haul lobster pots in one of Western Australia’s most productive fishing grounds, then sit back while your private chef prepares your freshly caught Western Rock Lobster right in front of you, across 2 courses, plus an inclusive glass of premium still or sparkling wine, beer or soft drink. All on a 2h cruise on calm Mandurah waterways, with dolphins frequently spotted, less than an hour from Perth.

Western Rock Lobster is widely regarded as one of the world’s most premium and sustainable seafoods. On this cruise, you catch it yourself.

We had an unforgettable time hauling our very own lobsters straight from the sea, an adventure that made lunch all the more satisfying! The crew was helpful and friendly making the entire experience lively and fun.

Your Experience on the Water

Relax on our 60-ft pleasure boat, Reel Affair II and enjoy the adventure:

  • Depart from Stingray Point Jetty in central Mandurah aboard Reel Affair II, our deluxe twin-deck lobster fishing vessel.
  • Head out to our nearby fishing grounds, where our crew hauls up to 3 lobster pots. Guests are invited to get hands-on, learn about Western Rock Lobster, and snap a lobster selfie before the catch goes straight to the onboard galley kitchen.
  • While your chef prepares lunch on deck, cruise Mandurah’s scenic inland waterways. The estuary and canal system is home to 90 resident Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins – keep your eyes on the water.
  • Settle in for a freshly cooked lobster lunch, plus inclusive alcoholic or soft beverage of your choice, served as you cruise.

We attended the seafood cruise today and wow what can we say. Amazing food along with great staff. They were all very accommodating and so friendly. If you are ever visiting Mandurah, this is highly recommended.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE

All guests must be able to move around the vessel independently and safely. This includes boarding via a narrow, slightly angled ramp, handling small steps or walkways and a ladder style stair case with handrails to access the upper deck. As the vessel is on open ocean, guests must be able to stay upright on moving water without assistance (we don’t go out in unsafe conditions, but passing vessels can cause wake).

Please also note owing to limited galley prep space, we cannot accept bookings with anaphylactic allergies or severe allergies which may be caused by trace allergens. We can accommodate non seafood eaters, vegetarians and halal dining options.

If you’re unsure whether this is suitable for you or your group, please contact us.

Western Rock Lobster

Frequently Asked Questions

Two hours on the water, less than an hour’s drive from Perth.

Yes! Our crew head out to our nearby fishing grounds and haul up to three lobster pots, and you’re invited to get hands-on. You’ll learn about Western Rock Lobster, snap a lobster selfie, and then your catch goes straight to the galley.

One whole fresh-caught Western Rock Lobster per guest, cooked two ways by your private chef: half steamed with a zesty dressing and Asian rice, and half finished with garlic butter and a dressed salad.

A glass of still or sparkling Howard Park Margaret River wine, a local craft or international beer, or a soft drink. You’re also welcome to BYO. We serve alcohol responsibly. If a guest appears intoxicated, our crew will stop serving them and may ask them to disembark.

$229 per adult and $150 per child, including your whole lobster and a drink.

A maximum of 30 guests, on a vessel built for 47, so there’s plenty of room to get involved.

Quite possibly. While your chef cooks, we cruise Mandurah’s inland waterways, home to around 90 resident wild dolphins. They are wild, so we can’t guarantee a sighting.

Yes, with at least 72 hours’ notice. We cater for vegetarian, gluten-free, halal and non-seafood diets. Please add your requirements when you book.

Our galley is small, so we’re unable to take bookings for guests with anaphylactic or severe allergies, including reactions to trace allergens.

Stingray Point Jetty in central Mandurah, with free parking close by in Vivaldi Drive. Your confirmation includes a map. Our Booking Office and Gift Shop is a 10-minute walk away, so head straight to the jetty on the day.

Please arrive 15 minutes before departure, as our cruises run to schedule. Just show your confirmation on your phone, or bring a printout.

If you’re prone to motion sickness, or unsure, please take medication before you arrive, as our crew can only offer herbal remedies. We never go out in unsafe conditions, but passing vessels can cause wake.

A camera, sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses and a warm top, as it can get cool on the water. Flat shoes are best on the open water. You’re welcome to take your shoes off and store them on board, but please take care on deck.

Unfortunately not. Because of the jetty and vessel layout, this cruise isn’t suitable for wheelchairs or walking frames. Boarding is via a narrow, slightly angled ramp, and ladder-style stairs lead to the upper deck. Guests also need to stay upright in waves or wind without help. For more information, please call our Booking Office on 9581 1242 or read our accessibility page.

Minimum numbers apply. In the event of cancellation by the company, guests will be offered an alternative date or full refund. If a severe marine weather warning is issued, the same applies. Online bookings close 24 hours prior to departure.

Can’t share vids and pics of the kids but we took the cruise and definitely saw 4-6 dolphins. 4 in a distance and 2 which followed the boat for a solid 5-7mins Visitor but I grew up years in Perth. Mandurah is still a great place and highly recommend people taking this cruise to enjoy the environment We had lovely weather early September 2026

Beautiful cruise, saw so many dolphins! The staff obviously love and know so much about them. Really cool. And loved seeing the amazing houses on the water, too.
