We love the incredible estuary, canals and waterways of Mandurah, and we love a West Australian sunset on water even more. Mandurah is home to some of the best sunset spots in WA, and there’s no better vantage point than from the water itself. Every week during the warmer months, we present three ways to soak up Mandurah’s golden hour on the water.
Savour a 5-course seafood feast paired with Howard Park wines on our Sunset & Seafood Cruise, unwind to live acoustic music on the Sundowner Cruise, or kick off the weekend with drinks on the Friday Floating Bar Cruise. Each cruise offers stunning views and a relaxed, unforgettable atmosphere, perfect for making the most of every sunset. These cruises operate from November to April, outside of our Christmas Lights cruise season.

What sunset cruises does Mandurah Cruises offer?
Three: the Sunset and Seafood Cruise (2.5 hours, 5-course dinner plus inclusive premium Howard Park Margaret River still and sparkling wines, local and international beers and soft drinks, the Sundowner Cruise (live acoustic music, 1.5 hours), and the Friday Floating Bar Cruise (casual drinks, no booking required).
When do the sunset cruises run?
October to April each year, excluding evenings when the Christmas Lights Cruises are operating.
Do I need to book in advance?
The Sunset and Seafood Cruise and Sundowner Cruise require booking. The Floating Bar Cruise does not; it’s first in, best dressed with limited seats.
What’s included on the Sunset & Seafood Cruise?
A 2.5-hour cruise with a 5-course fresh WA seafood menu designed by Chef Tony Howell, part of the team behind the 2024 WA Seafood Industry Awards Best Seafood Experience win, paired with complimentary fine wines, beers and soft drinks
What’s included on the Sundowner Cruise?
Live acoustic music from local performers, drinks from the licensed bar, and optional food courses, over a 1.5-hour scenic cruise.
How much does the Floating Bar Cruise cost?
$15 for one 45 minute loop, licensed bar onboard
What time is sunset?
It varies, but about 730 in peak summer months, to about 6pm in shoulder months, so cruise departure times differ each month to make sure we catch the sun setting over the water.
Can I see dolphins on a sunset cruise?
Yes, it isn’t a dolphin cruise, and they are harder to spot in dim light, but we often do see them.
Where do the sunset cruises depart from?
The Sunset and Seafood Cruise leaves from Stingray Point, 14 Vivaldi Drive. The Sundowner and Floating Bar Cruises leave from the Mandurah Cruises jetty in Mandjar Bay, by the Performing Arts Centre.
