Wild Seafood Experience

Catch and Dine Seafood Lunch Cruise in Mandurah

Western Rock Lobster, from ocean to plate

The Wild Seafood Experience is a 3.5-hour seafood lunch cruise from Mandurah. You’ll head out into the open ocean with our crew, help pull up to six lobster pots, then sit down to eight courses cooked on deck by our chef, with Howard Park wines and WA craft beers poured throughout.

Mandurah is the only place in Western Australia where you can dine on Western Rock Lobster while still aboard the fishing vessel that caught it. This fishery was the first in the world to be certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council, back in 2000, and our crew love sharing how it’s managed as you haul in the pots together.

Lovely spacious boat with a friendly and informative crew. Starting with a cocktail then free-flowing bubbles, wine or beer and cool drinks. With expert supervision we pulled craypots and returned more crays to the ocean than were kept. A delicious 8-course meal with fresh grilled cray the headline dish. An incredible day full of laughter, especially pulling the pots.

Come aboard Reel Affair II, our 60-ft twin-deck vessel, and settle in for three and a half hours of fresh seafood, ocean adventure and Mandurah’s beautiful waterways:

  • Help our crew haul up to six lobster pots, then get up close to a Western Rock Lobster and learn all about it.
  • Enjoy eight courses of wild-caught WA seafood, including your own fresh-caught Western Rock Lobster served three ways, cooked on deck by our chef.
  • Relax with Howard Park wines, WA craft and imported beers or a soft drink, all included from start to finish (note: we of course need all guests to drink responsibly while onboard)
  • Cruise Mandurah’s waterways and its canals lined with luxury homes, keeping an eye out for dolphins along the way. Around 90 resident wild dolphins call these waters home, along with pelicans, ospreys and plenty of other birdlife.¹
  • Relax while our friendly, expert crew look after you from start to finish and treat every guest like a VIP.

We attended the seafood cruise today and wow what can we say. Amazing food along with great staff. They were all very accommodating and so friendly. If you are ever visiting Mandurah, this is highly recommended.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE

For everyone’s safety, all guests need to be able to move around the vessel on their own. That includes boarding via a narrow, slightly angled ramp, managing small steps and walkways, and using a ladder-style staircase with handrails to reach the upper deck. As we cruise on the open ocean, guests also need to stay steady on moving water without help. We never head out in unsafe conditions, but passing boats can create wake.

Our galley prep space is small, so we’re unable to accept bookings for guests with anaphylactic or severe allergies, including reactions to trace allergens. We’re happy to cater for non-seafood eaters, vegetarian and halal diets.

Not sure if this cruise is right for you or your group? We’d love to help, so please contact us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Three and a half hours. That’s plenty of time to head out to the open ocean, pull up to six lobster pots and enjoy all eight courses at a relaxed pace on Mandurah’s calm inland waters. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure so we can welcome everyone aboard together.

We depart from Stingray Point Jetty in Mandurah, with free parking close by on Vivaldi Drive. There are morning and afternoon departures, and our booking calendar shows the times for each date. You’ll find a map in your confirmation.

Our Booking Office and Gift Shop is about a 10-minute walk away, so head straight to the jetty on the day. Just show your confirmation on your phone, or bring a printout, and our crew will welcome you aboard.

Eight courses of WA seafood, with Western Rock Lobster served three ways: as sashimi, as medallions with a zesty dressing, and finished in garlic butter with Asian rice.

Other courses include amberjack ceviche, Abrolhos Island scallops, and a platter of rock oysters, blue swimmer crab, Fremantle octopus and Shark Bay tiger prawns. Dessert is a chocolate brownie with warm chocolate sauce, followed by seasonal fruit. Our chef cooks on deck, so you can watch your lunch come together.

Yes, if you’d like to! Our crew pull up to six lobster pots in the open ocean and invite guests to help haul them in, then show you the catch up close. It’s entirely optional, so you’re welcome to sit back and enjoy the show. Bring a camera, as the lobster selfie is a guest favourite.

All drinks are included for the whole cruise. Choose from Howard Park wines: Petit Jeté sparkling, Miamup Rosé, Flint Rock Riesling, Miamup Chardonnay, Miamup Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, Flint Rock Pinot Noir, Miamup Cabernet Sauvignon and Flint Rock Shiraz.

There are also bottled beers from WA brewers Little Creatures and Gage Roads, imported beers and soft drinks. We serve alcohol responsibly. If a guest appears intoxicated, our crew will stop serving them and may ask them to disembark.

$379 per adult, $150 per child aged 3 to 12, or $799 for a family of two adults and up to two children. The price covers your cruise, all eight courses and every drink on board. Book online, or call our friendly Booking Office team on 9581 1242.

Yes, with at least 72 hours’ notice. We cater for gluten-free, vegetarian, halal and non-seafood diets with an alternative menu. Just add your requirements to the notes when you book, or call 9581 1242 and we’ll talk them through with our chef.

Our galley is small, so we’re unable to take bookings for guests with anaphylactic or severe allergies. We also can’t change the menu for requests made on the day.

Children aged 3 to 12 are very welcome. The cruise suits adults best, as it’s a long, seated lunch on the open ocean. If you have younger children, our Dolphin Cruise & Views might be a better fit. It runs for 1 hour 15 minutes and has a play deck for kids.

Unfortunately not. Reel Affair II isn’t suitable for wheelchairs or walking frames. Boarding is via a narrow, slightly angled ramp, and ladder-style stairs with handrails lead to the upper deck. As we cruise on the open ocean, guests also need to stay steady on moving water without help.

Our Murray River Lunch Cruise and Dolphin Cruise & Views both run on wheelchair-friendly vessels, and we’d love to welcome you aboard. Read our accessibility page or call us on 9581 1242.

If you’re prone to motion sickness, or not sure, we suggest taking medication before you arrive. We head into the open ocean, and while we never go out in unsafe conditions, passing boats can create wake. Our crew can only offer herbal remedies, not other medication.

Bring a camera, sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses and a warm top, as it can get cool on the water. Flat shoes are best for moving around on the open ocean. You’re welcome to take your shoes off and store them on board, just take care on deck.

Online bookings close 24 hours before departure. The cruise needs minimum numbers to run, and if we ever have to cancel, you can choose another date or a full refund. If you’ve booked a discounted rate, please bring a valid card to show on the day. Our full terms and conditions cover cancellations and changes.

Mandurah is still a great place and highly recommend people taking this cruise to enjoy the environment We had lovely weather early September 2026

Beautiful cruise, saw so many dolphins! The staff obviously love and know so much about them. Really cool. And loved seeing the amazing houses on the water, too.
