Some of Mandurah’s dolphins have faint numbers on their fins.  Many years ago, freeze branding was the method used to help identify and keep track of the dolphins.

Mandurah dolphins have been named and are identified by their unique dorsal fin characteristics, often caused from shark attacks and other injuries they have recovered from.

Rare footage of a dolphin giving birth in the wild in Mandurah was captured on camera by the Mandurah Dolphin Rescue Group, after it was spotted by Mandurah Cruises.
