1. Cruise with the dolphins

We couldn’t start a Mandurah to-do list with anything other than our famous Dolphin Cruise.  Hop on board to see Mandurah’s most famous highlights (and dolphin residents) on our Dolphin Cruise & Views tour, with dolphin sightings guaranteed. Take a fun 1-hour scenic voyage exploring incredible waterways, where around 90 wild dolphins reside and visit – the largest population in WA! Aboard our comfortable cruise boat, keep your eyes peeled to spot dolphins feeding, resting and playing in their natural environment.

TOP TIP:  Book the cruise for the first day of your trip as every ticket includes our Dolphin Guarantee, giving you unlimited return trips until you see the dolphins!

2. Go on a Giant hunt

If you’ve not yet headed to Mandurah to see the incredible Thomas Dambo installations; the long weekend is the perfect chance to find them all! The ‘Giants of Mandurah’ is a free outdoor exhibition celebrating the extraordinary beauty and natural assets of Mandurah’s waterways, wetlands, bushland and wildlife. Grab a map from the Mandurah Visitor Centre and head off on a Giant Hunt!

TOP TIP: Our Giant & Dolphin Sightseeing Cruise gives you exclusive, prime viewing of Giant ‘Seba’s Song’ located on the water’s edge ~ visible in full only by boat.

3. Indulge in fresh seafood

All that sea air is bound to work up an appetite, so why not treat yourself to some mouthwatering seafood? Mandurah is home to some seriously delicious eats, with an abundance of crabs, lobsters and crayfish. Some of our favourite spots for a seafood feast are Flics Kitchen, Redmanna Waterfront Restaurant, Brewvino, Boardwalk @ DQ, Cicerello’s and Boundary Island Brewery.

TOP TIP: Want to experience the very freshest catch? Grab a seat on-board out Seafood Lunch Cruise. We head out and catch fresh Mandurah Western Rock Lobster which is then cooked up for a delicious lunch on the water! From ocean to plate, this is a great chance to catch, learn, indulge and enjoy!

4. Soak up the sun at the beach

No trip to Mandurah would be complete without a visit to one of its pristine beaches. Pack your towel, slather on some sunscreen, and get ready to soak up the sun at one of our incredible beaches. Whether you’re keen on a leisurely swim, want to chill out with a good book, or grab your board and hit the surf – Mandurah’s beaches have got you covered. We love Falcon Bay, Town Beach, Pyramids Beach, Lido Beach, Doddies Beach, Madora Bay, Blue Bay and Seascapes Beach.

5. See the Lake Clifton Thrombolites

Experience a journey back in time at Yalgorup National Park’s thrombolite reef in Lake Clifton, a rare glimpse into Earth’s ancient past. Dating back 570 million years, these thrombolites are believed to be among the first life forms, responsible for producing oxygen crucial for subsequent life. At 2,000 years old, Lake Clifton’s thrombolites, the largest in the southern hemisphere, offer a fascinating spectacle best viewed from the boardwalk between January and May when water levels are low.

6. Check out the Peel Produce Market

Head down to the Peel Produce Market, every Sunday morning between 8am and 1pm at and pick up some incredible local produce. Enjoy breakfast, coffee and freshly squeezed juices as you soak up the live music and bustling atmosphere. In addition to the food on offer, there are also heaps of gifts and trinkets to discover from local artists and businesses – the perfect memento of your special trip to Mandurah!

7. Go crabbing

Mandurah is famous for its blue swimmer crabs and excellent crabbing – so why not have a go yourself? The season runs between December and August, so grab a net and try your luck! Sunrise and sunset are the best times to catch them – and you can do so from a boat, the jetty or by just wading in the shallows! There are strict rules around crabbing to prevent overfishing, so please read the regulations carefully before you begin.

8. Indulge in delicious churros

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, don’t miss a visit to San Churro Mandurah. Treat yourselves to some delicious churros, complete with dipping sauces and fresh fruit. Get them to take away and walk over to the foreshore to enjoy your sweet picnic in front of the water.

TOP TIP: Show your cruise ticket and you’ll get buy one get one free churros on the day of your cruise with us!
